Adox Rodinal – 500ml

Adox Rodinal is the exact same formula as the original Agfa Rodinal, now carrying the Adox name following the closure of Agfa Photo in 2005. This legendary black and white film developer is renowned for its exceptional economy — with typical dilutions of 1:25 or 1:50 — and outstanding shelf life, lasting for years even after opening.

Rodinal is a high-acutance developer, meaning it enhances the apparent sharpness of negatives. This does come with an increase in visible grain, which many photographers find aesthetically pleasing, especially for creating a more textured, classic look.

While Rodinal may not be the ideal choice for every situation, it excels with slower films such as Ilford Pan F, producing beautiful tonal rendition and crisp detail. However, as with much in black and white photography, there are exceptions — some photographers achieve excellent results with fast films like Ilford Delta 3200, HP5, or Kodak Tri-X.

Rodinal is a one-shot developer: simply dilute to your chosen ratio, process the film, and discard after use.
