CineStill BwXX is a 35mm black and white film derived from the legendary Kodak Eastman Double X 5222 motion picture film, first introduced in 1959. Originally crafted for cinema, this film stock has been used in numerous iconic productions, offering photographers a chance to shoot with a true piece of cinematic history.

Rated at ISO 250 (daylight) or ISO 200–400 for general use, it produces rich blacks, pronounced grain, and high contrast—delivering that distinctive “cinematic” look. With proper development, it can also be pushed up to ISO 1600, offering excellent flexibility for creative or low-light shooting.
