CineStill 800T is a unique high-speed, tungsten-balanced colour negative film designed for low-light and artificial lighting situations. With a native ISO of 800 and a colour balance optimized for 3200K tungsten light, it delivers true-to-life colours under warm indoor lighting without the strong orange cast typically seen when shooting daylight film in such environments.

This film is particularly well-suited for night photography, urban scenes, and moody interior portraits where ambient light sources—like street lamps, neon signs, or bar lighting—create atmosphere. Because it’s tungsten-balanced, shooting in daylight without filtration will result in a pronounced blue cast. To correct this, an 85B warming filter can be used, reducing effective film speed to around ISO 640.

Derived from Kodak’s renowned Vision3 500T motion picture film stock, CineStill 800T has been specially treated to remove the remjet backing, allowing it to be developed in standard C-41 chemistry. This makes it accessible to still photographers while retaining the cinematic aesthetic—fine grain, high latitude, and soft halation around highlights due to the absence of remjet.
