Ilford HP5 Plus Film is a classic high-speed black and white film, rated at ISO 400, widely respected for its versatility and exposure latitude. While HP5 Plus Film contrast is slightly lower than Kodak Tri-X, this offers more flexibility as contrast can easily be enhanced during scanning or printing. HP5+ also performs well when push processed, delivering great results at ISO 800 or 1600 when developed correctly. It stands as an affordable alternative to ultra-high-speed films like Ilford Delta 3200 or Kodak T-Max P3200.
