Ilford Multigrade [V] RC Deluxe is a cutting-edge, fifth-generation resin-coated black & white photographic paper, ideal for both beginners and professional darkroom users. Launched in 2020, this paper offers superior D-max (deeper blacks), improved midtones, and enhanced toning capabilities, making it arguably the most advanced traditional silver gelatine paper available today. Slightly warmer than its predecessor, Multigrade IV RC, it allows creative flexibility in image tone depending on developer choice. Quick washing and safe handling under running water (2 minutes at 18–24°C) make it convenient and efficient. Available in Gloss, Pearl, and Satin surfaces, each with distinct reflectance qualities, Multigrade [V] RC Deluxe is perfect for everything from high-contrast prints to fine-art matte effects. An essential paper for any darkroom enthusiast or professional.

Surface qualities:

• Gloss (1K) – this is a classic high gloss surface. 85% reflectance.
• Pearl (44M) – a fine lustre, very popular, and with excellent contrast. 35% reflectance.
• Satin (25M) – a very smooth flat matte surface with virtually no texture. Can do a good impression of a fine art matte FB paper! 10% reflectance
