Ilford Ortho Plus 80 is a unique, medium-speed black and white film with orthopanchromatic sensitivity—meaning it is not sensitive to red light. This gives it a distinct visual signature: reds render as deep grey or black, opening up striking creative possibilities for portraits, landscapes, and still life photography.

With a native speed of ISO 80, Ortho 80 produces extremely fine grain and excellent sharpness, making it ideal for studio work, close-ups, and technical applications like copy work and scientific imaging. Because it is red-insensitive, it can also be handled under appropriate red safelight conditions—useful for darkroom printing or educational demonstrations.
