Kodak D76 Film Developer is a legendary black & white film developer, first introduced in 1927 and still considered the gold standard for general-purpose film processing. Renowned for its versatility, D76 delivers an ideal balance of fine grain, full tonal range, sharpness, and true film speed. It performs exceptionally well with virtually every B&W film on the market—so much so that manufacturers often ensure their films work perfectly with it.

Similar in formulation to Ilford ID11, D76 comes as a powder to be dissolved in water, producing 1 litre of stock solution. It can be used undiluted for maximum speed and consistency, or diluted 1:1 or 1:3 for different tonal effects and economy.
