Kodak Toner has been a favourite among darkroom printers for decades, famously used by Ansel Adams on all his prints. This versatile toner offers both creative and archival benefits, producing subtle to dramatic tonal shifts depending on the paper type and dilution used, typically from 1:3 to 1:19. It works beautifully on both fibre-based and resin-coated black & white papers, enhancing depth in shadows and improving overall image richness.

Beyond aesthetics, KRST strengthens the archival stability of silver gelatin prints, helping them resist deterioration over time. Although current Kodak production is on hold due to manufacturing changes, Ilford Harman Selenium Toner offers a near-identical alternative. Ideal for photographers seeking timeless image quality and long-lasting preservation.
